HydraFacial LED Light Therapy Face TreatmentHydraFacial by Apothecarie
Get smoother, clearer, more beautiful skin with our HydraFacial LED light treatment. This completely non-invasive procedure bathes your skin in safe LED light of different wavelengths. These penetrate your skin at varying depths to effectively treat a range of concerns such as acne and visible signs of aging.
Here’s how it works: Collagen plays an essential role in keeping your skin firm and elastic, but as we age, natural collagen production slows down. Red LED light stimulates fibroblasts in the skin to produce more of it so that fine lines and wrinkles are smoothed out. It also helps promote tissue repair, healing sun damage, wounds/scars, and inflammation. Blue LED light meanwhile kills the bacteria responsible for acne, and reduces sebum (oil) production to keep your pores unclogged. Together, they’re a powerful tool towards healthy, glowing skin at any age!
Our LED HydraFacial is a relaxing, 5-minute treatment (which is all you need to see incredible results). Using handheld wands placed close to the skin, your beautician will shine two types of light onto the entire face, one section at a time.
Here’s what’s included:
- Cleanse: We’ll start by cleansing your face so that it’s free of makeup and oil, to allow the LED light to properly penetrate the skin.
- Red LED light (healing / anti-aging): This enhances cellular metabolism to accelerate the repair of damaged skin cells, encourages collagen and elastin production, eases inflammation and redness, and boosts circulation to the cells.
- Blue LED light (anti-acne): This kills acne-causing bacteria, regulates sebum production, and treats eczema and psoriasis.
You can book this service as a standalone treatment, or alternatively book a one-hour Platinum HydraFacial with LED light therapy included, which also incorporates a deep cleanse and peel, serum application, lymphatic drainage and more, to intensely nourish and hydrate your skin alongside all the benefits of the LED therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a HydraFacial LED light treatment cost?
This service is priced at $75, with the treatment itself taking 5 minutes. That may sound short, but it’s plenty of time for your skin to feel the beneficial effects of the LED light!
What is an LED light therapy facial?
Unlike a typical facial that involves applying products onto the skin, in an LED light facial, the only thing entering your skin is the light itself! After a relaxing cleanse to prep your skin, we’ll hold the HydraFacial LED devices close to the face and bathe it with two different wavelengths of light, one at a time. These penetrate the skin at different depths, to each bring their own set of beauty benefits.
Is LED light therapy good for your face?
Absolutely! Blue LED light penetrates the surface of the skin, destroying acne-causing bacteria to treat recurrent breakouts and promote overall skin health. Red LED light penetrates deeper, energizing your cells to produce more collagen and elastin to restore a more youthful firmness and smoothness, while also relieving inflammation and speeding up the natural healing process.
LED light therapy can also help to treat eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, sun spots, and more. Navy SEALs have even used LED light in the past to successfully speed up wound healing!
How often should you do LED light therapy?
You may begin to see results as soon as after your first session. However, to get the most benefit from this skincare treatment, you’ll need multiple sessions. The number of treatments required to see significant results will depend on your skin type and condition. For example, severe acne and deeper wrinkles will require more sessions to treat than fine lines or milder acne. You may choose to discuss approximately how many sessions you’ll need with your HydraFacial practitioner at the initial visit.
Is HydraFacial LED therapy safe?
Yes. LED light is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that does not contain damaging UV rays. That means it’s suitable for any skin type, and safe for regular use. There’s no downtime either; it won’t irritate your skin in the same way, say, microdermabrasion will. You’ll be able to continue your daily life as soon as your treatment is done. Oh, and don’t confuse red LED light for laser therapy. LED therapy won’t burn your skin - in fact, it feels quite pleasant!
What is the best LED light therapy?
The skincare experts at Apothecarie settled on HydraFacial for our LED therapy service because we truly believe that they’re the best. Their handheld devices are ultra-powerful, and allow our skincare technicians to control exactly where the light is shone. For example, unlike with a full-face LED mask, your beautician can concentrate the light a little longer on areas of the face that show the most acne or the deepest wrinkles.
