Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a HydraFacial treatment?
Our Deluxe HydraFacial treatment costs $250. This includes a cleanse, peel, extractions, and professional application of multiple HydraFacial serums including a booster chosen specifically for your skin type.
Are HydraFacials worth it?
So worth it! Many customers describe the result as having their “best skin ever”. Because this treatment focuses on improving the skin’s overall condition, the list of HydraFacial benefits is an exceptionally long one. Whatever your skin type is, you can expect to walk out of our salon with minimized pores, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, improved firmness, increased vibrancy, and a more even skin tone with less discoloration. HydraFacial can also effectively reduce the appearance of brown spots, or be used to treat acne.
How many HydraFacials are needed to see results?
While multiple HydraFacial sessions are typically needed to treat ‘stubborn’ issues such as brown spots, acne, and deeper wrinkles, you’ll see an instant (and dramatic!) improvement in your skin’s overall appearance after just one treatment.
Are HydraFacials safe?
One of the best things about HydraFacial is that it doesn’t leave your skin red or sore in the days immediately following treatment, something that frequently happens with other common types of facial such as a microdermabrasion. HydraFacial is a powerful-yet-gentle treatment that’s non-invasive and doesn’t irritate the skin, only nourishes it. That means it’s suitable for any skin type - even sensitive.
Are HydraFacials safe during pregnancy?
Although the ingredients in a HydraFacial are safe for most people to use, we prefer to err on the side of caution and for that reason we don’t typically provide this service to pregnant people.
Are HydraFacials good for acne?
HydraFacial is widely-recognized as an effective way to treat acne. The gentle procedure deeply cleanses the pores to dislodge acne-causing debris, while calming rather than irritating the skin. It also helps to combat oiliness so that your pores stay cleaner for longer.
Is there any HydraFacial aftercare I should know about?
Because HydraFacial is such a gentle treatment on the skin, there’s no irritation - which means no downtime. If you want to put your makeup straight back on after our session, you can! However, we do advise that you steer clear of waxing, laser treatments, and exfoliants (such as enzymes or glycolic acid) for 48 hours after your facial. Your skin may also be more sensitive to the sunlight directly after a HydraFacial, so be sure to bring a sunscreen in your purse.
How is the Deluxe HydraFacial different than the Signature HydraFacial?
Our Signature HydraFacial is a 30-minute treatment focused on improving general skin health and appearance. Our Deluxe HydraFacial is a 45-minute treatment that includes everything from the Signature one, plus additional HydraFacial serums that will be picked out by you and your skincare technician to address your specific concerns.
For example, if you’d like to minimize dark spots and achieve a lighter, brighter complexion, we could include a booster serum that’s rich in vitamin C. If you’re prone to redness or congestion, there’s a booster option with skin-soothing milk protein and sebum-controlling Rosa Canina extract. If it’s fine lines and wrinkles you’re most concerned with, we might pick the Dermabuilder booster to enhance elasticity, or one that supports the skin’s natural ability to produce collagen and elastin. There are lots to choose from, because everyone’s skin is different!
Do I need to make an appointment for my HydraFacial at Apothecarie’s Ridgefield Park location in New Jersey?
Apothecarie is one of the most popular treatments at the Apothecarie spa so we recommend booking an appointment as early as possible to avoid disappointment, particularly if you’d like to get it done ahead of a special occasion.
