Apothecarie 60 Minute Platinum HydraFacial | Apothecarie New York

Get ready to experience the best skin of your life with our Platinum HydraFacial! This hour-long treatment deeply cleanses, detoxifies and hydrates, before bathing the skin with anti-aging and anti-acne LED light. It also includes your choice of HydraFacial serums, for a luxurious facial experience that’s tailored to you.

Our Platinum HydraFacial treatment is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive. Sometimes called ‘wet microdermabrasion’, this revolutionary process exfoliates the skin via a combination of vacuum-suction and targeted jets of water rather than an abrasive surface, making it incredibly gentle on the skin. Best of all, there’s practically no downtime - HydraFacial results are both dramatic and instantly-visible!

What’s included?

The ultimate HydraFacial treatment, we’ve really pulled out all the stops for our Platinum HydraFacial! Performed by highly-experienced skincare professionals in a hygienic and relaxing setting, it includes everything from our Deluxe HydraFacial plus two additional steps: lymphatic drainage, and LED light therapy.

Included in this service is a tailored booster serum, which will be selected by you and your aesthetician to address whichever skin concern you’d most like to treat (such as dullness, acne scars, sun spots, or fine lines and wrinkles).

After a brief consultation to determine your skin type and primary skincare concerns, we’ll move onto the facial. Here’s how our Platinum HydraFacial works:

  • Lymphatic Drainage - Using a special wand, we’ll provide a gentle facial massage that opens up the lymphatic system so that toxins and stagnant cellular fluid can drain away, for an instant skin tone improvement.

  • Cleanse & Peel - Dead skin cells and other debris are gently vacuumed away, after which a glycolic or salicylic acid solution is pressed into the skin to further decongest the pores and soften impurities, ready for the extraction step.

  • Extract & Hydrate - Using HydraFacial’s exclusive Vortex-Fusion technology, a spiral-like tip produces a whirlpool against the skin that simultaneously sucks out any remaining impurities and pushes a powerful HydraFacial serum deep into the pores to ensure maximum absorption.

  • Fuse & Protect - Your skin is flooded with HydraFacial’s signature blend of antioxidants, peptides, and moisturizing hyaluronic acid, to support overall skin health and hydration while also protecting against environmental damage.

  • LED Light Therapy - Finally, your skin will be bathed with both red infrared light (to stimulate collagen production and the repair of damaged skin cells) and blue infrared light (to eliminate acne-causing bacteria).

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a HydraFacial treatment?

Our Platinum HydraFacial costs $325, which includes everything from the Deluxe HydraFacial plus lymphatic drainage and LED light therapy (worth $445 if all treatments are purchased separately).

What are the main HydraFacial benefits?

What truly makes HydraFacial different - and the results so incredible - is the way it improves so many different aspects of skin health at once. Whether you want brighter skin, tighter skin, or a more even tone or texture, a HydraFacial treatment will give you what you want and more!

Typical HydraFacial results include minimized pores, a smoother look and suppler feel, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, a reduction in brown spots or other discoloration, and a generally bright and dewy glow - what more could you ask for? Plus, because our Platinum level treatment is tailored to you via personalized HydraFacial serums, you can expect a particularly marked improvement in whatever skin concern bothers you the most.

What HydraFacial aftercare steps should I follow?

There’s really very little HydraFacial aftercare required, since this treatment is designed to be as non-irritating as possible. Unlike other facial treatments such as strong peels or microdermabrasion, there’s no ‘recovery period’ where your skin looks worse before it starts getting better. You can waltz straight out of our salon and into one of the nearby cafes to meet your date, knowing you look phenomenal!

However, your skin may be more sensitive to sun damage immediately following a HydraFacial, so be sure to use a good sunscreen for at least a week afterwards. You should also avoid waxing, laser treatments, and exfoliants (e.g. enzymes and glycolic acid) for 48 hours. Other than that, you can go straight back to your usual skincare and beauty routine.

How often is a HydraFacial recommended?

You can expect to see fabulous results after your very first visit - clients regularly tell us it’s the best their skin has ever looked! However, certain skin concerns such as brown spots, acne, and deeper wrinkles will require multiple sessions to fully treat. To maintain all the benefits of HydraFacial over the long term, we recommend getting a top-up treatment every 4 weeks.

Can HydraFacial cause breakouts?

Like most facial treatments that draw out impurities from deep within the skin, it’s possible to get a breakout shortly afterwards. That’s actually a sign that it’s working to bring impurities to the surface! However, it’s definitely not the case that everyone will break out after a HydraFacial treatment - it’s more likely to happen if you already suffer from congested skin.

Getting a HydraFacial for acne is actually an effective way to clear up breakouts in the long term, because of the way it deeply cleanses the pores and helps to regulate sebum production.

Are HydraFacials safe during pregnancy?

Despite its powerful results, a HydraFacial is one of the least-irritating facial types out there and hence suitable for almost everyone. However, just to be safe we don’t typically offer this service to pregnant people.

Do I need to make an appointment for my HydraFacial?

While our flagship salon and spa in Ridgefield Park, NJ does accept walk-ins, HydraFacial is one of our most popular skincare treatments and we therefore recommend booking an appointment to ensure one of our skincare technicians will be available when you arrive.
